The George Centre as part of the ACURIO Health Group is committed to its ongoing compliance with the Privacy Act 1988, Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012, Health Records, and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW), Privacy Regulation 2013 and the Australian Privacy Principles relating to the handling of personal and health information that it collects and holds. It has procedures in place to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

While within The George Centre we request you to respect the privacy of other patients

The George Centre asks patients to respect the privacy and confidentiality of other patients. It is illegal to disclose information about another person’s presence within the hospital. This includes sharing any verbal and digital, communication along with photographs/videos being used publicly or on social media platforms. The George Centre complies with the Privacy Act 1988, this includes the way we use, store, and disclose of your healthcare information.
