Dr Scott is a fully qualified specialist hand surgeon with more than 20 years’ experience in treating acute and chronic hand injuries and conditions, including:

  • hand fractures, including carpal bone and scaphoid fractures
  • soft tissue and bone and joint injuries
  • sports injuries
  • arthritis
  • tendonitis
  • carpal tunnel syndrome
  • de quervain’s tenosynovitis
  • trigger finger and thumb
  • Dupuytren’s contracture
  • hand tumours, lumps and ganglions, including skin cancers

His areas of interest include hand trauma, microsurgery and complex reconstructive surgery.

Dr Scott graduated with a MBBS from Sydney University and while a General Surgery trainee completed a 12-month Fellowship at the highly regarded Sydney Hospital Hand Unit. He subsequently transferred to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in order to purse a speciality in hand surgery, and while a trainee spent a year at the prestigious Hutt Hospital Plastic Surgery Unit in Wellington, New Zealand.

He has been a VMO at the Sydney Hospital Hand Unit and is a past Director of Hand Surgery at Liverpool Hospital. He is a member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the NSW Hand Surgery Association.
