Obstetrics
Dr Jan Ardui provides high quality evidence based women’s centred care and is committed to supporting women’s choices in childbirth. His approach focuses on empowering women who are motivated for vaginal birth which has led to consistently low emergency c-section rates. However, he is equally supportive of maternal request c-section when they align with a woman’s needs and preferences, this way ensuring each individual feels respected and well-informed in making the best choice for her birth experience.
He has a special interest in high risk pregnancies including diabetes, twin pregnancy, breech birth, patients with history of pre-eclampsia, preterm birth, (recurrent) pregnancy loss, etc. He has admitting rights in The George Centre and publicly in Campbelltown and Liverpool Hospitals.
Women can opt for private care in private hospital (private in private) or in public hospital (private in public). Both these models are ran through the rooms in The George Centre. Patients can also do shared care which he offers through Camden rooms as well as the rooms in The George (Orion Women’s Health). Through Orion Women’s Health we offer care through the HOME model which stands for Holistic Obstetrics and Midwifery Experience – which means throughout your pregnancy journey you will be seeing both Obstetrician and Midwife.
Gynaecology
Dr Jan Ardui offers general gynaecology services including investigation and treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding, heavy bleeding, post-menopausal bleeding, pelvic pain and endometriosis, abnormal Cervical Screening Test (PAP), contraceptive care and family planning including termination of pregnancy.
Women’s Ultrasound
Dr Jan Ardui has completed DDU (Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound) and offers both Gynaecological and Obstetric ultrasound through Orion Women’s Imaging in the George Centre.
