Dr Ronald Guevara is a consultant Endocrine Surgeon with specialist expertise in thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal surgery.
He completed a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Chemistry at Duke University (USA) in 2005 before relocating to Sydney, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney in 2010. He subsequently completed a Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney in 2013.
Dr Guevara undertook his General Surgery training across multiple major metropolitan and regional centres, including Liverpool Hospital, St George Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital and Campbelltown Hospital. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2019.
He then completed two years of advanced fellowship training in Breast, Endocrine and Head & Neck Surgery at St George Hospital, Sydney, gaining extensive experience in complex endocrine surgical conditions.
Dr Guevara is actively involved in research and education. He has published in the ANZ Journal of Surgery and has presented at multiple Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Annual Scientific Congresses. He is fluent in Spanish.
